I can’t help feeling this

sadness as it invades my eyes.
Empty eyes

as no tears are left for me to cry.
You and I took heaven in advanced,
But it was taken by our rushed touch.
Happiness was felt in unhappy minds,
But fear took us over leaving nothing inside.

I felt your hand as it touched my soul

and took it away to forbidden places, to scenes unknown.
While leaving it behind, forgotten, you came back.

Everything changed and all was left in the past,
As something that never happened was left behind.
We became strangers and slowly forgot ourselves
As we walked away from each other,
Leaving behind the pain.
